Enlighten Materials (www.enlightenmaterials.com)
Enlighten Materials (陽明數位牙材) is a leading biomedical venture from Taiwan that specializes in developing world-class dental 3D printing resins. Founded in 2017 as a spin-off from National Yang-Ming University, the company blends expertise from chemical engineering, organic chemistry, software development, and clinical dentistry. The company aims to lower the barrier to digital dentistry by providing high-quality, bio-compatible, and affordable materials. In 2020, Enlighten Materials achieved international recognition when its flagship products—such as temporary crown resins (AA Temp) and denture base resins (BB Base)—received US FDA 510(k) clearance, making it one of the earliest firms in Taiwan to secure this standard. Their diverse product lineup also includes surgical guides, custom trays, and water-washable models compatible with major SLA, DLP, and LCD 3D printers. By delivering high strength, low shrinkage, and exceptional precision, Enlighten Materials serves as a highly trusted original design manufacturer (ODM) partner for modern dental labs and clinics worldwide.
Mobile digital dental laboratory
The Mobile digital dental laboratory developed by Professor Yuan-Min Lin at the Department of Dentistry, National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, is an innovative mobile setup designed to overcome geographical barriers in dental healthcare.
Overview and Purpose
Remote Access: Built to provide comprehensive digital dental laboratory support in remote and mountainous regions where advanced prosthodontic care is scarce.
On-Site Production: Integrates a high-precision dental CNC (Computer Numerical Control) milling machine directly into a mobile vehicle or unit.
Streamlined Care: Enables immediate creation of precision restorations like single ceramic crowns on the spot, drastically reducing patient wait times and travel burdens.
